which made the 36" unusable as well. I cut down the 42" and installed it, and nobody has been able to tell that it isn't the correct size, at least not without knowing what we're looking for. I also added a 24x90" pantry to a finished end of one wall of cabinets with a granite countertop overhang. I trimmed the blank spacers to the correct width for the wall and base cabinets and installed the pantry flush with the end of the countertop. Again, nobody can tell that it wasn't installed with the cabinets originally. With new crown molding that matches the old perfectly, it looks like a completely professional job - which is amazing because my line of work is I.T., not cabinetry or finish construction or anything of the sort, and the units don't come with any sort of instructions whatsoever.
Overall, this is an excellent cabinet line that is easy to learn how to assemble if you have at least a small knowledge of building things and also have the right tools - a drill, an automatic screwdriver, several 24-36" clamps, construction glue, and a few 1/2" 'L' brackets. The door hinges have a bit of a learning curve, but once you figure one out the rest are easily installed so that the doors align perfectly - also amazing because the very large size requires extremely precise adjustments to keep the doors aligned with each other.
